catfish

Someone who uses a fake identity online, often pretending to be a teen of a similar age, to start a relationship or get something from the other person.

I think that account is a catfish, the photos are from a model's page.

For parents and educators

Kids often use it jokingly about edited selfies. The serious version is an adult posing as a peer, which research from Thorn shows is common in grooming and sextortion. Warning signs include someone who moves the chat to a different app quickly, asks for secrecy, or asks for photos. Ask your child: "Have you heard of catfishing? How would you tell?"
