slop
Low-effort, mass-produced online content, especially junk images and videos made by computer programs.
My feed is all slop now.
For parents and educators
Harmless word, and a fair complaint. It can start a good talk about telling real videos from fake ones.
Where it came from
An older word for unappetizing food, picked up online in 2024.
