Labubu
A fuzzy toy monster with a toothy grin, collected and clipped onto bags. Often sold in mystery boxes, so you don't know which one you'll get.
I finally got the Labubu I wanted, no more blind boxes!
For parents and educators
A toy fad like Beanie Babies. The real issue is money: mystery boxes and resale prices can push impulse buying. Some online rumours called it evil, which is just a moral panic.
Where it came from
A character from a Hong Kong-born artist, turned into a global collecting craze in 2024 and 2025.
