trust trade

A trade in a game like Adopt Me where one player is asked to hand over their item first, on the promise that the other will send theirs after. It is the oldest scam in Roblox trading.

She asked for a trust trade for my neon unicorn and then left the server.

For parents and educators

The trade window exists so nobody has to go first. Losing a favourite pet can feel huge to a young kid, so take the sadness seriously even if it is only pixels. Fake middlemen and trades split into several parts are related tricks.

If you’re worried

Report the player in the game. Remind your child to trade only inside the official trade window, and never move a deal to another app or chat, where strangers can also start private contact. If your child lost items or money, report the scam to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501. If someone asks for photos or personal details, report it to Cybertip.ca.
