stream sniping
Watching someone's live stream to find them in a game and beat or bother them. For street streamers, it can mean tracking them down in person.
Some kid was stream sniping me all night, he knew exactly where I was.
In games it is mostly annoying. It matters more if your child streams: what they show on screen, like their window, school logo or street, can let strangers find them.
If your child streams, help them hide their real name, location and anything that shows their neighbourhood, and add a delay. If someone keeps following or threatening them, save the evidence, report to the platform and call police. Kids Help Phone: 1-800-668-6868 or text 686868.
