IRL stream
A live stream filmed out in the real world, walking around a city, at events or doing stunts, instead of playing a game.
That IRL streamer was at the mall, everyone was trying to get on stream.
Some IRL streams are fun travel or chatting. Others bait strangers for reactions, and some streamers have been banned for harassment. Kids also get filmed without asking when a streamer shows up in public.
If your child wants to stream outside, talk about never showing their home, school or regular spots live. If they were filmed and posted without consent, report the video to the platform. If they feel unsafe, call police. Kids Help Phone: 1-800-668-6868 or text 686868.
A Twitch category that grew into its own genre on Twitch, YouTube and Kick.
